Reform Metrac G4X (Base Machine) Guess how much??
What application ... a 60hp essentially 4wd machine would handle serious roadside stuff esp if fitted with an articulated arm mower for roadside banks?
For steep (&/or soft) sites, it deadweight might be a bit of an issue in chopping up surfaces.
    Nice power unit though.

Pretty much put my order in for the Ventrac subject to quote ( I had the RRP ) - Now not so sure after getting a firm quote.
    Great machine BUT!!!!!!!!
Taking a second look at a BCS tractor. Will still be much better than many tractors on hills and competitive with small to medium slashing BUT I will have to fight to get the work at the going rates.
With the Ventrac I would slowly build a niche while still being reasonably competitive with the small to medium work. With the niche work I could charge a little more with less competition and no need to clock up the hrs as much.
Also with the BCS I get great backup service, spare parts in stock etc

    35HP with a 4ft6 possibly 5ft slasher

The Ventrac with tough cut slasher 68in, 72 inch mower deck & 4ft bucket V's BSC tractor, 5ft bucket, (60in Hustler Super Z - if needed in future) both setups about the same $$ both have different strengths and weakness. The Ventrac is better for my needs if it can hold up and do what many say it can

About 10 years ago the Metrac was about $100k. The deck alone was $30k on top. A contractor was using one here for a while but I think he went broke or lost the contract (city). Apparently it was VERY expensive to maintain and repair.
I did see it operating once but took these while getting some fuel.
Thats a Scag TT on the front of the trailer.

I've got too much spare time lately. Had a thought that a small compact tractor would be handy around my block & for work.
My criteria were it had to fit on my 10x6 trailer, weigh less than 1100kg, capable of fitting a mid mount mower, and be robust enough to handle a loader & dig post holes.

Looked at Iseki & Massey Ferguson but neither ticked all of the boxes.
Then went to Kubota and found one that seemed ok.

Got the quote today, and gave up on the idea.
$39.5K for tractor, FEL, 4 in 1 bucket, rear counterweight, 60" mower deck and fibreglass canopy. I was thinking <$30k

thats the one that I have B3150SUHD...you cant put mid mower deck since B3150SUHD doesnt have mid PTO

It wont fit 10x6 plus with all attachments weigh around 1.5T.

Hi Jal2007. There's 3 models of the B3150. Two have a mid PTO.

I probably only need to transport it with the mower mounted. I'd take the loader off, so should fit & might just scrape in for weight. Worst case, I could put another axle under the trailer.

    How do you find it?
