All jokes aside here, the plate and screws/wiring needs to knit and adhere to the bone, otherwise it'll end up like a 2mm screw in a 8 mm hole and get infected.

yep. thats why im wearing a semi cast to keep it in lace... it should take at least another 5-6 weeks to fully mend the bone....
i cant lift anything with the hand tho...just getting mobility so that when the bone has healed, i dont have the stiff fingers and joints. like you said buddy. its another 4-5 weeks pysio to get them moving again

Greenie was going to use some more cable ties but ran out when he did the op. maybe distracted by the nurses.
The bottle opener is there to stay guys.
Im in wishful thinking the healing is going to go quick.
its the limited movement at the moment that pisses me off tho. more and more pysio every day

My surgeon banned me from driving for 8 weeks, It took about 12 before I had reasonable movement, dunno, perhaps mine was busted in more places, left with a 17% permanent disability now. (soz to ramble)

    All going well guys.
At least i can do just about everything now. Hedging ( with the strap) mowing whipper snipping etc. Even can use the blower with my busted arm.
Saw the pysio today and a dramatic improvement in flexibility. Photo 30-06-2014 8 54 47 pm.jpg
