Rain, storms, humid, mow, very warm, more storms, rain, humid, mow again - but now mowing, hedge trimming like "Speedy Gonzales".

Gonna be knackered by Christmas, even as I type another storm front is approaching the Border Region and we are all getting this along the East Coast,

Then the heat will really hit and I/we will be sand blasting the high lift blades and complaining.
    Cheers Garry

I'm in North-East Vic, think I'll give Toast for breaky a miss now leading into Christmas.
It's gona be Nutri-Grain Iron Man food for Breaky now with this rain event kicking in solidly over Saturday night and still going.
Several of my lawns will go weekly, hedges are and have been going mental but that's not my focus into xmas, and its still warm and humid outside.
Gona need to return to 35 dg with no rain to dry things up somewhat to have the decent Christmas break that I've booked.
Hope our neighbouring buddies in Happy Valley/Myrtleford river side of town are coping. If its not fires, then its floods giving grief.

Gives me concern what this rain re paddock grass grow this is going to do for us by Jan/Feb when we sit on 38- 42+ deg everyday in the fire season and I'm in a high risk semi rural location.
    Cheers Garry

Not looking forward to the flood of phone calls for one off mowing over the next few weeks. With all this rain and warmth it is going to be a crazy month of mowing.
I already had a few lawns weekly.

    How are you all coping?

Correct, Best have me daughter's healty disgusting sewer looking Vegan purple/green slush slushie that she blends for Breaky.
Copping, wasn't coping prior to this rain re earlier post. Got a bit ill in the mild/humid 35 deg last Thursday re the mental rapid growing grass before the latest rains.
5.40am Bl00dy Cheek to ring you at that time, he could have rang earlier before you sat on the throne at least. Must have chooks that caller.

Seriously we are in for hell next week and into Christmas.
Radars shows my region is in for another very long heavy dump across the night and the rain circles like a cyclone pattern and solid rains in Shoal Haven on radar.
    Cheers Garry

I thought I might get a few easy days between Xmas & New Year, but we got whacked by a severe storm on Boxing day evening.

Spent the day yesterday cleaning up my place of fallen limbs and started on my neighbours this arvo after normal work. Have another couple to clean up before I can mow them.

Luckily, not much damage at home or on the places I work on, but there were a few houses & sheds in the area that lost their roof. My garden shed was wrecked.

Finally - six days in a row from Thursday 18th Jan, could be 7 or more when the BOM forecast updates tomorrow but as it stands now temp's will be over 40 Deg by 2 and under by 2.
Should see a slow down in work to some degree except for the clients who have no concerns of water usage within their bill and that's a fair ratio of my customers.
But it will be so good to have a bit of a slow down re the work load as it has been quite vigorous this season.
Would love to get a 6-8 day break in and head to Bateman's Bay, say straight/soon after Aust Day when the visitation rates drop back to realistic prices.

Yes, I'm Inland on the Border where late Jan and across Feb hits 40 or more everyday and I look forward the narrow window to have a slightly lighter work load before March to mid June.

But, Yes it's a little tough whilst out there working in heat. But knowing there is cold beer in fridge at home when you get home makes for a good day in the end.
    Cheers Garry

According to Bom.gov this is our temp forecast for today 18th Jan 37, then 42, 41, 41, 39, 37, 37, 37 & 37. At least we get the cool change bringing temp's under 40 to look forward too.

Best get another slab or two of Carlton Draught to see it through.
    Cheers Garry

I used to be able to see around 90 mins ahead as to where the heavy rain clouds are heading.say you check it at 10am it would show activity from 9:30 till 11:30 so you could see the likleyhood of possible heavy rain heading in your direction and therefore decide on your work plan or day off, depending..wasnt always accurate but gave a fairly good idea of where its likely to rain

This site has been a bit hit and miss for working lately and at the moment firefox says it's configured improperly and won't allow connection
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

    Will I Get Hot,
41 deg forecast tomorrow Thursday, delayed a large fully operational farm ranch booked for tomorrow to Friday as a cool change will arrive by Friday arvo and be a more comfortable 36 deg. .
Maybe I can sit under a lone tree with the cows for shade and talk about local dairy products or show them me new ride on tyres.
    Cheers Garry
