Picked up a car in Melbourne and drove back to Hunter Valley on Thursday - didn't realise just how dry the whole area from Melbourne to the border is, especially Albury / Wodonga and around southern NSW - hope you guys get some rain for Xmas you certainly could use some...
Much better day today here 26 max. Even got some rain this morning

Yep as dry as can be in Wodonga.
Last year 16th Dec 2014, we had to be prepared to evacuate, moved the Caravan & Boat out to two separate customer houses.
Fire chaps on hill behind asked command to evacuate at 9.00pm, but the wind change came just in time late at night. Gave the local fire station down the road a $100 tip for their xmas drink after that scare.
Fast forward Sunday Dec 20th friggin today
Another fire fanned by mega homungas winds behind the hill that we are built on - 42 deg Sat, 41 Sun today.
Some pictures taken from my house.
A late arvo/evening 90kph wind change started to bring it closer into town and then the rain came and saved many people's homes/farms.
Late arvo 20th Dec 2015

Pretty wet here in the Gong too.
Thankfully we set up all the properties 2 weeks ago and the high UV and dryness have severely retarded growth.
over 70 properties booked this week, and only 4 days to do them with lots of time lost with customers gifts and chatter. - the rain doesn't help.
Pulled the pin myself thisarvo, but running on schedule with a dry day forecast tomorrow
"Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
If someone says "Can't" , take the "T" off the end and brew it.
Sip on a mugfull, relax, and take a look at what you've got left to work with.
Hey flogging rain here - no mowing today, probably this week at the rate the it's coming down...
Raining here too. Today is a write-off. Only got an hour of tree trimming in yesterday.
Hopefully the system will pass later today and I can get back into work tomorrow.
