It's rained heavily here all night and is still going. Not sure how much but my pond is overflowing...can't see the fish...I'm worried they may have floated away

Clean-up begins as Vic flood crisis eases
he threat from flooding in Gippsland in Victoria's east is receding after rainfall of more than 200 millimetres since Friday in some areas.
Roads are still closed in Gippsland this morning after torrential rain and floods on the weekend.
Flows in the Macalister River are starting to recede and the townships of Tinamba and Newry, under threat last night, have been given the all clear.
After being hard hit by floods in June, the town of Tinamba was well prepared this time round.
The owner of the Tinamba Tavern Bed and Breakfast says there is a moat around her property, but the water has not caused as much devastation as last time.
Leanda Helmke, says the water has reached it's peak, now it is time for the hard part, the clean up.
"It's a lot of labor and a lot of hours, I guess like a publican and like a farmer you still have to work and then you have to find those extra hours to clean up and get everything going again," she said.
Jack Grey of the Newry Hotel had only just bought the pub when it flooded earlier this year. He is relieved the area the did not get as much rain as they did back in June.
He says the town was on high alert over the weekend
"Which you can understand, they weren't too sure whether the banks were going to break or exactly how much water was coming down from the hills so there was a bit of a panic," he said.
The town of Licola is cut off by floodwaters for the second time this year.
Floods washed away Cheyne's bridge, the only access to the town from the south in June.
Contractors built a temporary bridge but the floods on the weekend have washed away the approaches on both sides.
Barry Taylor from Licola says the only way out of the town is over a storm-damaged four wheel drive track over Mount Useful.
"We don't know how many people are still up in the bush up here. And we believe there are some people still up here and they've got two-wheel drive cars so they'll be stranded here," he said.
"We have got people here with caravans and that and they won't be able to get their caravans out," he said.
Victorian Premier, John Brumby, says the flood damage is unfortunate but it is great news for the catchment areas.
"Particularly the Thomson, we've seen 80-90millimetres, some parts of the catchment over 100," he said.
"We're adding about 1 per cent a day to Melbourne's storages and it may well be that by the end of this week we'll have more water in storage in Melbourne's catchments ... than we had this time last year,"

GREAT NEWS JUST IN
Two kayakers feared missing in Victoria's Latrobe Valley have been found safe.
The pair, a man and a woman in their 20s, had planned a weekend kayaking trip down the Thomson River.
They left on Saturday and planned to be picked up at the Cowarr Weir yesterday afternoon. When they did not arrive friends called police.
Police search and rescue teams are now on the scene.
They say the pair made a call from a mobile phone saying they had been tipped out of their kayak and were swimming to dry land.
They made it safely to the bank, but then their phone dropped out.
LOL wouldn't suprise me...send em back can ya? ThanksOriginally Posted by administrator

Raining in Brisbane this morning which is very welcome
Waiting for it to clear so I can get out there.
How do you guys manage in the rain , do you still mow if it is light rain , or sit out until it clears
Plenty of rain in Sydney, on and off since last Friday. Lot of heavy rain as well and as a added bonus i picked up a cold in the rain yesterday.

Down here in Melbourne it rained all weekend, we had over 60mm, than cleared in time for mowing on Monday. But lets hope for more rain as we need it
