Weird weather here at the moment. Trying very hard for a big storm but I don't think it will make it. Good luck to all you Vics. Looks like your in for a real good ride.

Just got a call from a friend in Pakenham....her house is flooding apparently because she's at the low point of a cul-de-sac and the water is flowing under her front door. Her hubby is away and she's panicking.
As I type this the most enormous raindrops have just started to fall here and it went from twilight to pitch black in about 1 minute. Love a good storm but really hope the tradies managed to find/fix that hole over my new kitchen ceiling!

Got sunburnt this afternoon, than this evening in 5 minutes sky went from light to pitch black, and decent size hail stones, and heavy rain. what a day.
Same friend just sent me this....it's her garage roof...gives you an idea how big the hail stones were!

Thats just another summer day in Qld
We had one about 6 years ago,I was working in brissie, got a call from my neighbors saying I should probably come home. 400 odd roof tiles smashed or cracked, ceilings in 3 rooms had holes punched through the ceiling by the hail. I got home about an hour after the storm to find hail stones the size of baseballs on the living room floor.

How'd you all go in Melbourne? Looks like the worst of it has passed to the East now.

Yeah...were I am lol! Just finished "sandbagging" the front door with towels....hopefully that will stop it, carpet inside the door for about 2 foot is soaked. Of course Timmy's away - always seems to manage to be when we flood.

We had 40mm here in a hour or so.
Could get a lot worse yet. North east could end up with a 100mm tonight.
Glenn,
With what we have had already and with the Radar at the time of posting, I won't need a ladder tomorrow to do this large tall hedge job I've got. I'll launch the boat and anchor beside them.
Been watch radar like a few of us tonite in between blackouts.
