Compared to last year when we had the flash-flood we were dry and would have been even drier if it hadn't rained all last week. Over half of last months rain fell last week.

    Jan 2011 - 413mm

    Jan 2012 - 98mm
I think it was around 170mm. Nothing like you guys get! We had a few days of 30+mm but mostly just rubbishy 5-10mm for heaps of days. I think it was something like 14 days where it rained for January.

I spoke to two of my suppliers from different stores today and they both said they are pretty quiet. Glad it's not just me!

looks like you may need a new business idea like a way to pump the water back through the sprinklers and out the drains
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.

Yep!!! He did pretty well predicting the dramas last week. He goes on a bit but still, much more detail than the tv reports.

Yep. I like the charts and models he has access to. And the fact that he dums it down a few levels.

mate, i cant afford to get to far behind, i did 7 lawns today, all long from the humidity and seeding.
It wasnt fun but i put the rover 1 notch higher and it did a great job.
came home had a scotch and soaked in a bath to warm up.

Tell me if u work it out... I was 1 day behind (8 lawns) before 2 days of heavy rain...now I'm at least 24 lawns behind schedule...and looks like more rain tomorrow.
I don't mind working in light intermittent rain but it's been heavy constant flooding night and day.

Well it's Friday tomorrow and I've still got six large lawns to catch up on, plus about 12 hours of gardening work to fit in somewhere too. Looks like I'll be working through the weekend again. Thankfully it has stayed dry here this week except for a couple of random showers. Has looked like storms every day. The rain that is flooding Western Queensland at present is rumoured to be moving this way though in teh next few days.....

Drizzling and wet here again today but have been out in it trying to work. Honda is catching "okay" but have been stopping it when emptying the catcher to scrape the accumulated slop out of the chute.

On another note, I bought a rain-jacket last week and used it today but the damn thing is so hot (like a sauna) I was wetter inside from sweat than I would have been from the drizzle if I hadn't worn it. Fat lot of good that is!!
