Wow - sounds eerily like here last January. Hope everyone is doing okay in the light of day.
Some pics. The first pic of the RSL blows me away to think there was that much water there. It is just off the main street of Penrith. I imagine there would be a massive amount of damage and loss of stock to the shops in the area.
They ended up with 102mm in about 5 hours, most of which was in a three hour period.

I think last year here we had something like 150mm in an hour and a half to cause the flash flood here and in the Lockyer Valley which also claimed 23 or 28 lives.
Those shots look like it's affected a fairly wide area of the community down there though. When it comes down to it, water damage is water damage whether you get a little or a lot through your house. Everything still has to be replaced. Sure has been an interesting last 12 months in Australia and New Zealand.
It is amazing to see streets flooded like that again, we had the manager of our Sydney office down for the last 2 days, he took off early after getting a text from his wife to say the furniture was about to start bobbing around the loungeroom. Not sure what area he's from, in his haste to change flights etc he never did tell me.
I just received my annual insurance renewal after having storm damage to the roof and kitchen 12 months ago, premium increased nearly 87%, needless to say I am going with another insurer who is happy to insure me for only slightly less more than I paid last year and with the same excess. By being greedy they will now never recoup the money they spent on my claim as I'd only been with them 2 years and they paid out nearly $15K. If they increase it a little each year I wouldn't have been so peeved. Ah well, lucky I work with insurance brokers really

This weather is killing me, and this is more depressing.

i got 6 done today, had to empty my boots twice from being half full of water, what a sh*t of a day
2 done this morning between 9.30 and 12 and the weather's good. Could have got a lot done today but have to head off to Brisbane shortly.
Weather has been fantastic here,Blue sky days with an afternoon thunder storm every couple of days to keep everything growing like crazy.
I've had 1/2 a dozen fortnightly regulars change to weekly this past week with the current growth rates, happy days.

I threw in a drizabone and a coat expecting a cold wet day up on the mountains, but it turned out a beautiful day. Did 8 half acres and hardly raised a sweat.
Will have to pull most of them back to 10 day intervals if the grass keeps growing like it is.
I got 115mm rain last night and still drizzling. 75mm+ in the area I was supposed to work today, so no work for me.
Might go for a drive and check out a horse for sale for a friend and hopefully secure more firewood supply properties.
Wow. Nowhere near that much here but the rain and constant drizzle, grey skies etc are back today. Storms didn't happen yesterday as predicted.
Looks like maybe a bit of gardening only or a paperwork day perhaps.
Rain yesterday, rain today with another potential 150-200mm to come! Great!
