Hey I was wondering what conection you had to lawnmowing did you and hubby have a lawnmowing business in the past?
    Cheers Dean
So that would be history repeating itself....as we build the stupid desalination plant here too. Is there any such thing as an intelligent government...anywhere?

Yes Dean, Tim and I used to have a lawnmowing business but when his health went to hell and seeing as we were smack bang in the middle of one of the worst droughts Victoria has experienced it made his decision to leave the industry an easier one to make. I worked full time in the financial planning industry but had more of a knack for the gardening than he did so Tim did the lawn only work and cleanups during the week and we both did our handful of total garden maintenance jobs on the weekends. We gave the business to my nephew and he still works it but slowly shifted the customer base to closer to where he lives and has made it his own. (He doesn't "do" forums or anything so isn't a member here).

We had another 1" overnight and it's still raining fairly heavy now. No mower this week as they are evacuating were I bought my mower from, I might have to wait 10 days before i can pick it up BUGGER.

weather is just wonderfull. Low pressure system heading straight for us. Hopefully all rain and no strong winds.
Might be a blessing with no work tommorow. Replacing the clutch in the hilux and might not have it back together.

It seems like the whole riverina area of nsw is going to be one giant lake soon with one town after another being evacuated. it gets even worse where my folks live out at griffith with all the surrounding villages going under last night from all the irrigation canals overflowing. My brother in-law is out tonight doing traffic control for the griffith council. When is it all going to end

ground was a bit soggy here this morning.
then the mrs's said gee i'd love some prawns . I had the boat on the ute in 10seconds flat and was gone before she had the chance to say one more word.

only got a kilo or so and some good bait prawns so we r both happy.

Just had the most rain I can remember for years in the last 24 hours. 110mls in my rain gauge. My pool is now an awful browny colour from all the run off going into it, and there are major roads cut all over Sydney including the M7. Unbelievable. I hope the guys in the flooded towns are ok. 75% of the state is flooded.
