Cheers Garry
Did a final inspection mow for one of my regulars in a short patch of "dry" this morning, then went to the job I've been trying to get done for 3 days.....wandered around with the brushcutter wearing a raincoat in the drizzle until rain stopped play about half way through. Another 50mm today....
The sun came out to play today got a full days work in now i`am stuffed
....Nothing like a good whipper....
Had ths un come out today... To wet to do any mowing, so i went and did the edges on 3 of my regs in the local area, just to save some time when i actually get there to mow in the next few days, glad i did as 1 of my regs and i got talking today and turns out he wants a bit more done around the place. No idea what to charge him yet but.
Just do the project specs with him, ask him about the budget for it and see what agreement you can come to. If the budget is too low to fulfil his ambitions, you can help him understand costs and expenses, and if he is too high you can be an honest hero.

How long had you been working as a J Benny? You didn't get out after just a couple of months did you?
As GG said, listen to what the customer wants done. Estimate how long you'll need to do it and charge accordingly.
Or get a total spend figure from customer and say I can do X amount of work for that.
as soon as I hooked up the trailer, it started to rain, 2 hours later.....I'm having a long weekend
