The combined dams that supply Brisbane are 40% full , The dams that supply the coast and up north are over flowing,

State government needs a massive kick up the a**e, for years they tell us 1500 new people come to Qld every week all they do is talk ,They are supposedly building another dam in 2012 but I am not sure if this is going ahead or not havent heard anything about it for a while.

The last time we had dams at 40% we were on level 2 restrictions I don't think they will make that mistake again.

We use the weather channel one and it sits in the task bar with the current temp., you can dbl click on it to get more info, I think its quite good.

Also it got to 41 yesterday on the Gold Coast and it is 25 right now...9am, how can you go from 41 to 25 in one day??? but I am glad it has cooled down today!

I don't think it rained at all here in Feb 3.. weekly cycles would be a blessing, we've been stuffed here for a while now

sometimes a positive as the backyarders go away..in the meantime we make do as the reliable long term customers look after us.. when it gets back to somewhat normal then you remember who is the good customer when u are snowed under with heaps of lawns and saying well i remember you when the lawns were not growing...the ones that kept with you get rewarded and the f@@#ers that put you on hold masybe have to wait...and wait some more

Hey Geoff, it only rained in a few small areas when it did rain 47 days ago mate! we keep a rain chart & it pretty well hasn't rained hard since April 07. We did have some in May, but not as much as you'd expect in May. We're pretty lucky here though! The state government talks heaps about what they're gunna do to help us lol!

Adealaide now the record holder for longest hottest days in a row

Adelaide has just endured its 17th consecutive day with a maximum temperature at or above 30°C. This is the longest spell of temperatures above this mark ever recorded in Adelaide, the previous record being 14 days in 1956 and 1930.
The hot spell also included an official heatwave (5 consecutive days or more at or above 35°C) of 8 days, from 13 February to 20 February. During this heatwave the maximum temperature peaked at 44.3°C on 14 February, the hottest ever February day in Adelaide and the third hottest day ever experienced in Adelaide. The hottest day in Adelaide was 12 January 1939, when temperature reached 46.1°C.

The hot weather was experienced across the whole state, with most centres breaking long standing temperature records for February. The highest temperature recorded in South Australia during this period was 47.9°C at Marree on 16 February, and is the highest temperature recorded in South Australia for February, although it does equal the temperature recorded at Tarcoola on 17 Febraury 1992.

11th straight day above 35C here today! Although, its been a LONG way above 35C for most of it!

It's 39C on my veranda at the moment & got to 41C yesterday & 38-39C every other bloody day since it was over 40C all last weekend. They reckon another 40C tomorrow. It was 30C at 6.30 this morning!

    Good job its autumn!
