14deg & 30kph wind gusting to 50kph here. That's bad enough for me to pull the sign down for this week.

Sideways rain here this afternoon and evening. Wind that you can hear in the trees in the distance many minutes before it hits.

That, and it's frickin' cold outdoors.

From all reports i see we are in for a nighmare summer here in Sydney, very dry, hot and very limited rain.
The US just experienced their hottest July ever and more than half the country experienced drought conditions.

Nah dont see me bragging about it or rubbing people's noses in it so i wouldnt say we are that much a like i just charge what i think the jobs worth and if that gives me more free time to fish or to spend it with the family then more power to me i reckon, whats the old saying work to live dont live to work.

Did Boris ring you from Cheltenham yesterday regarding a hedge too big for me so i passed your number on that's why i rang you yesterday.

Its been a wet wet season and more to come down here in South east burbs of Melbourne.....i havent passed on so many wet lawns of late and lucky our soil is sandy around here in Dingley but you guys in Berwick/cranbourne north how do the hell you make a living mowin at this time of the year....At my daughters place in berwick springs couldn't even get any landscaping done......with all the drainage i put in I still need to install more for the health of the plants...saw a contractor across the road on his fancy z turn showing off untill he slid down the hill and bogged it..geez that was funny to watch....
This season reminds me of what it was like mowing in the 90's where weeks would go by with no mowing lol.....They say theres a el nino comming yeah well bring it on so we can mow hehehe...
Oh yeah and for the heavy SP mowers gee getting to use them a lot ...not...have to stay with light pushies for awhile yet...

Bypassed 4 jobs yesterday, and just didnt bother with any today, even the pushie would sink, and the ride on would need water wings, certainly is keeping the moisture this year

Geoff we have to be versatile out our way. Have hardly mowed all week but have been busy pruning, hedging, clean ups, building maintenance etc. I live in Berwick springs and this seems to be one of the drier (better draining) areas out this way.

One of my cousins is down South somewhere skiing at the moment and said there was 23cms of snow overnight. Would that be right? Sounds like a lot.
