Agree on all counts. I'm on the other side of the bay to you in Leopold and I am often watching the rain soak half of Melbourne and not a drop falling here, very frustrating. It is really drying up here too, only 16mm of rain since September all in 1mm showers.
Yes GCM i think i'm in the same boat as you. I'm in Williamstown (inner west melbourne) and very dry. I normally watch the rain coming up from Geelong, only to see it split to the northern and sth/eastern suburbs; something to do with the You Yangs rain shadow. No sign of any showers for at least the next week. Great for the northerners though!
dry in Maribyrnong / essendon area (also inner west melbourne)
hallafreakingloolah. rain in melbourne. wooo!

Looks like I could be on the afternoon shift! With today raining and more likely on Friday it looks like working the weekend again.
Just clocking on for work now as it has ben too wet this morning (1pm). Had a good drop in Geelong and should help the grass out for a few more weeks now.
Lucky because around my area the couch was just about done. Still got summer to get through yet.
summer here will start at 39 degrees. or so they say. had a good go at cooking myself today
