Thanks ian for the thoughts, was out today again and did two jobs, one of which is a full garden maintenance for a luxury home. Finished at 1.00pm as being Sunday I didn't start early.
My Dad's house was 5 streets away from the last job. His is also 3 streets from my house.
Anyway, dad as usual throws a Crownie my way when I drop in and I was too crook to accept it, drunk two tins of very cold diet coke instead.
Have to keep trying to do homes tomorrow onwards and again 41 tomorrow (Mon) and Tuesday. Work is back logging up now and last night Albury got 13mm of summer stormy rain, with more stormy rain forecast this evening.
Could be worse as we think about our dear friends in Tassie and to think there were umteen thousands of people so close to the area in question at Marion Bay Falls Folk Festival the week prior.
My 19 yr old was one who flew down for it.
Anyhow log off time, and time for another swim in me big pool. As it's between 41 and 43deg up here at 4.18pm depending on what website you visit
Cheers Garry
Gday Garry -Hang in there-unofficial temp for yesterday here-44 measured at a food factory weatherstation-been sucking on ice blocks/water from 9 litre esky -knocked off at 3 today-same as you will just to work through it (knocking off early where possible). Also have a sister with a holiday house at primrose sands -just down the road from Dunalley-Tragic. Stay safe and count your blessings peoples.!
Hi Simon,
Often think about you re helping me during business start up and every time I see a solidly built TDK ute tray or trailer in town, which is almost everyday.
Your a legend for staying out till 3.00pm. I was spent (totally knackered) at 1.00pm and just could not off imagined doing another job.
Guess it's deja vu for us again tomorrow.
Cheers Garry
Na Garry, not legend....... small irrigation job from 1.30 to 3.00 hehehe.... had to test it out of course..... -small misting line to keep clients' hydrangeas alive... if possible......
41 degrees here now. Albury would be hotter, we are expecting 41 again tomorrow and total fire ban again. I am starting at 6.30am and back home by 1pm in the pool by 2pm and then maybe if I did not finish my lawns I am out and mowing at 6pm again. Most days I finish all my lawns by 12.30 as some don't need mowing at all.
expecting 43 tomorrow, have to be a record for the village if it gets there

37 and tinder dry here......I'm doing stuff at home tomorrow.
It hard work Fella's and Ladies, did 3 jobs today and pulled the pin and went home as I was feeling a bit off.
But all's positive, even though there is a real bad fire threat to our region and above into NSW with strong winds/high temps overal for tomorrow.
We have a cool change down to 39 deg forecast so 4 jobs tomorrow to get done.
Then the mega cool change to 25 deg on Wednesday, so I'll need me thermal winter gear on and beanie to keep warm as I do as many jobs as I can to catch up. Oh and the hot soup in the thermo flask must take too.
Now were is that electric blanket for Wednesday night.
Cheers Garry
No work for me tomorrow. Will just catch up on invoices and quotes tomorrow. They are saying it will still be in the mid 30's around midnight too. Might just stay in the pool all night if that's the case.
Hope everyone is ok in the fire affected areas.
working today and kept hearing on the radio that it was 29 and i'm thinking gee it feels hotter than that, just looked at the weather observations and yes 29 in Melbourne 35/36 in Scoresby and yes i know you wish it was that cool where you are
