    Sydney is HOT!!!!

    Where i am it's still 44.6 @ 4pm... and peaked at 46.1

Sydney's Observatory Hill observed a temperature of 45.7 at 2.54pm as records continued to tumble across the city's suburbs. The previous hottest temperature recorded at Sydney Observatory Hill was 45.3C in January 1939.

Shortly before 2pm, Camden, in the city’s southwest, climbed all the way to 46.4C.

Penrith residents endured Sydney's hottest weather with temperatures peaking at 46.5C at 2.16pm.

I worked until 11am today... in future, any day that is predicted to be over 42 will be a day off for me...

It's just not worth the risk!

Peaked at 49 here under the gum tree. Has been 44-46 for a while. Just checked....40 outside now with big black clouds over head. Could get nasty!

the weather is making all these post go out of order

Lets hope we get some decent rain....

My wife has just informed me that 3 of her friends have just posted on FB that it is raining... around Narellan, Mt Prichard and Mona Vale....

I hope there not going to be scattered isolated showers as it doesn't look like raining here anytime soon... or is it the calm before the storm

Yep dug up a garden bed (had a stump that had to be dug out) then picked up turf and put that down then did 2 lawns. Gotta say I was feeling the heat today..

Some darn hot weather there in Sydney, makes it tough going.
Got to 42 on 3 iphone apps in my neck of the woods in blustry yucky conditions today .
Mowed all day except for a 1.5hr break at 11.00am to buy a 9ltr water fire extinguisher, the type that can be refilled with a garden hose and pressurised by the garden hose. Amazing as it squirts out like a garden hose with a pope jet nozzle. After each refill it does the same.
Need it for my more rural jobs to comply fire regulations. Went to the fire station and asked a guy a know what I should get.
My Golden Retriever has a dislike for it already????
    Cheers Garry

I gave up at 2pm today when it reached 42, that was enough for me. Hottest day on record and now severe thunderstorm warnings for later tonight, go figure.

Not a drop of rain here last night. Was still 30 at midnight. Looks like a horrible hot humid week to come.....hopefully some rain too!
