I hope I'm wrong but it feels like it's gonna be hot dry and crispy this spring/summer. No real rain since June and nothing significant in the near future.

Same here - hot days and not a cloud to be seen, a lot of lawns turned to dust already..
I'm showering in my clothes at the end of the day at the moment to wash the dust out before they go in the washing machine with the kids school clothes. Ridiculously dusty here again after such a wet start to Winter.
Yeah what happened to spring sposed to be 27 tomorrow we need rain badly
Today I washed the car..lit the BBQ..sprayed the bindii in the lawn..left the sunroof open..and still no RAIN...

Maybe you need to plan a nice spring wedding. That would surely bring the rain, gale force winds and thunderstorms.
It'll rain here on the October long weekend.....they have the Old Bar Beach Festival.....it always rains.......other than that, I need some rain.
Finally!!all that rain dancin has worked.lets hope we get the 40 mm they're predicting..
Finally getting rain here on the Gold Coast as well.
Congrats on the rain up north guys. For those of you that got some.
GRUMPY/WEATHER
Told my gardening jobs today that we would have to reschedule due to rain. These are some of my original clients that are 40 mins away(am looking to refer them to someone else btw).
The rain forecast was:
6am heavy shower 90%chance of rain
9am rain 80%
12 noon rain 80%
3pm heavy rain, etc.90%
The chance of rain was 80-90% the whole day. So I cancelled the jobs and whaddya freaking know. Jack all to no rain from 8am-3pm. Because the job is 40mins away I cant just pop on over and do a bit till the rain gets to heavy because of the cost of petrol and my time up and back. It just sh*ts me how often this happens. I lose a whole day cos the BOM are way off on their predictions. They obviously don't realize how people livelyhoods are dependent on reasonably accurate weather predictions. They should think about this next time they get a monkey to spin a wheel to decide on the predictions.
Mon 6amspin......heavy shower! spin.....90% chance!....Reality: not bad, it rained.
Mon 9am spin......rain! spin....80% chance .....Reality: No rain at all. $$$lost for tradies.
It would be worth learning meteorology ourselves so we would have a chance of earning a buck whenever there are some clouds in the sky.
Grump over.
