An annoying 1.8mm spread over the whole day was all here today.
Had a very welcome 30mm here in a pretty wild storm last night. Hopefully it's enough to start the grass growing.
Have also had rain - don't know how much but enough to make the grass greener..
72mm here in Canberra, that's over 10% of our yearly average
About 75mm overnight. A bit more than I hoped for but heaps better than last spring and summer when we had virtually nothing until February. A bit of sunshine should kick things along nicely.
Thought the cold weather was almost done and dusted but alas no, can't wait for summer!
with the activity on the forum this morning i am guessing am am not the only one at home as all my lawns are soaked.
R u guys getting any remain down there?
If so send some up to us please...

I've forgotten what rain is here, looks like its going to be a really hot dry spring & summer too
BoM is predicting a 60% chance of a wetter than average spring........I guess we're in the 40%....lol. Had 12mm last week, didn't even lie around, just disappeared into the ground without a trace.
You can all have some of ours at the moment, the BOM have got it all wrong, nice sunny days the days when I am home with the kids for school holidays, than days like today when I can work we have had 15mm already. They need to plan things better. Dont get me wrong love the rain, will make it a good season, just get those guys at the BOM, to schedule like we have to
In the same boat here in Port Paul.
Mowing and edging lawns that have been without moisture for two months SUCKS BIG TIME, the only thing I hate about my job. Mitchell
massive winds today; had a 8' standard crab-apple snap off at ground level while working nearby -real shame, it was over 20 years old, a real beauty
