Hope I didn't come over too strong. If you are lacking in vitamins, sodium, sugar etc the sports drinks/vitamins etc could be really important. What sort of annoys me is the big businesses that spruik it as a quick fix to everything. Like as if you drink a powerade you'll be a better footy player etc.

That's all well and good but you need some vitamins too (maybe a baroca) and maybe a banana or two.

Hydralyte, is another product I use for dehydration, it comes in little satchels and can be kept in the glove box or center console, all you need is 200ml of cold water to mix it with.

Yep fruit keeps me going through the day, whole heap of different stuff but the wife keeps asking where the bananas go. Get my veggies at subway and stir fries at dinner

At the end of Nov, we worked out a mowing schedule for the holiday period, for a school I mow. 3 weeks, 2.5 weeks & 2.5 weeks.

That was when it was still very dry here.

Well, after 8" of rain in the first 3 weeks, I don't think it's going to work out too good.

This section was 2 weeks growth.

No other after pics as the phone camera baled up on me. I'd be too embarrassed to post them anyway

Might have to see if their budget will stretch enough to get an extra mow in before school starts.

Hi Mark. Yes it goes ok. Suspension is great. Good on slopes. Had a couple of deck belts break early, but this one is lasting better. I thought for sure it would break today, but it didn't.
I'd like to up the revs a bit, but the dealer is not agreeable. It's running at 3300 with deck engaged. Even in easy cutting, it won't cut my grasses properly at full speed.
It loves the fuel, but that's to be expected. I'm guessing today it would have been burning 8-9L/hr. Normal cutting 7.5-8 L/hr.

I'm still thinking that maybe the Gravely 460 would have suited me better, but I got a good deal on this one, so it will do the job for me

    Some serious grass there Ed!
8 or 9Lt/hr is pretty bad but Ive been there myself when cutting long stuff like that. At least your getting it done in much less time than you would with a smaller, less thirsty engine. Its just a trade off!
Pretty sure you could up the revs to around 3400-3500. Should try and find a spec sheet/graph for best revs v's torque. Even a couple hundred rpm can change things up.

Im sure I'll put the mocker on myself now but Im still on the original deck belt at around 750hrs. Touch wood!!!!!

Too right Mick. As it was, I was there for 5 hours including trimming, picking up sticks etc. Burnt maybe 30 litres of fuel and still feeling fresh enough to do a couple more jobs.
If I did it on the 44" Gravely, I'd have been there for a huge day, left feeling miserable, cranky and rewted, more stress on the machine and prob burnt 40 litres of fuel.
I will get the revs increased. It's almost out of warranty anyway. It's at 3560rpm without the deck engaged, but you never run it at WOT without the deck anyway, so should be safe enough to raise it to 3500 with the deck engaged I think.
That's a good run out of your belt Mick. I replaced 2 in the first 35 hours. At $100 a pop that was getting a bit depressing. I replaced the Gravely deck belt @ about 500 hrs but it was still good and keep it as a spare now, but it's looking like it might perish before I might need it again.
