Might need one John if it keeps going. Ground is waterlogged and when this stops and the sun comes out it will be bedlam. Already getting the "jungle" calls. You know the ones. Oh my weeds are 10 foot high and I have an inspection tomorrow morning and I need it looking smik but only want to pay $20 for it ones

Same down here. Had a look at a long range forecast and not too promising. I did 4 lawns this week that hadn't been cut for 4 weeks. A couple of them could've gone another week or 2. Need rain soon.

It was similar here to Geoff but in last week or so started drying out rapidly. Still it is a wonderful year for growth. Going to be a serious fire season though when the heat does come. I do a few vacant blocks at this time of year. Just slashing for the FDS. Have some people who have been on the books for years. Did one this week that was twice the growth it normally is. Grass was over my head in height.

It looked like it was going to be an excellent season here.
Started doing fortnightly mows from mid August which is unusual for here.
By the end of Sept they were all on 3-4 weekly and things haven't improved since.
My mountain properties have had 1 mow since April. Still delivering an odd load of firewood up there. They had a frost there mid Oct.

Forecast a chance of some rain here at the end of next week, but 7 days out it's not too reliable.

Taste of summer here today. Got to 37 at my place this arvo. I felt it after a long cold wet winter. Going back to mid 20s tomorrow. Go figure.

Must be dry if you are looking at the forecast. Are you guys in drought up there. How are the farmers going? We have had good rainfall but won't be long before we are looking for rain too.

We got pretty good rain through winter Steveo, so the farmers got a good winter crop off. Cattle are in good order, but they will be looking for rain very soon. Some planted peanuts last week hoping for some rain, but that didn't happen.
The winter rain does nothing for the lawns as the nights are too cold/frosty for it to grow. When the temps did rise, we got a flush of growth, and since then it hasn't rained again, except for isolated storms around the district.

There seems to be a lot of new lawnies around town and some look to have pretty good set-ups, so they will be feeling the pinch if it doesn't rain for another month... and so will I

Much the same here. The winter grass is patchy though, some areas it's died off and others its still going strong.
