Day 3 of sitting down due to wet weather here. Just drizzly rain with the occasional heavier shower. Looks like it might hang around for a few more days too.

After 12-15" of rain for Feb, this seems to be the new norm for fortnightly mowing in my town.
2.5 heavy woolpacks of clippings off this area & another off the front.

Mostly Kikuyu NLALM. I wasn't doing a wide swath with the whippie. Plenty of angle just to get a bit of an edge.
She texted me a week after I last mowed to come again ASAP, but I couldn't get there until today. Day 15.

Ed, would a medium/high catch, followed by a mulch mow make it any easier/more efficient ?
It would ease the amount of clippings you would take away but its a double mow.

    Cheers Fred.

Hi Fred, I cut & caught it high first with the Rover and then dropped it 3 notches & cut it again. Was a bit tempted to go over it again but gave up on it.
I think it would be too wet to mulch. Haven't had any rain for 3 days but the tyres of the mower were still wet on the second lap & that was almost midday.

At the moment, properties that I normally mulch are just getting side thrown with the mulchmaster. In a couple of days the grass has grown a couple of inches & hidden any clippings

We've had another couple of inches of rain for March. Grass is still growing madly. Did this one today @ 21 days. Too disgusted to post 'after' pics.
