I really feel for people who live in high fire risk areas when we get weather like this. The weirdo firebugs all come out. I reckon they should bring back the stocks and pillaries for these wankers.

Hell I will even grow tomatoes for it or bake a few eggs in our 40 C sun

lol.... now isn't that a funny situation... we can't work because of the heat and no rain and you can't work because your getting too much. I think I will have to have a yarn with the big guy upstairs about giving us a break or sharing the water around equally

Nah...too bloody hot to sit out in the sun even to watch cricket...at least I am gainfully employed working a on website for a client though I wouldn't mind a stubby. I reckon I can hear the grass growing up your way from all that rain.

When I lived in Ingham years ago I actually launched a punt from the main road just south of the Tully river and went on patrol chasing barra poachers. They block off all the little creeks when it floods like it is now as the barra shoot up them. I have a photo somewhere of my offsider hanging onto the Hull River name sign where it crosses the road. He is standing on the guard railing of the bridge which is underwater with nothing but water as far as you can see.

Love the Ingham region....They've had just under 500mls in the last 2 days.
Ya not wrong about hearing the grass grow Bluey. I've got jobs due last Thursday (@ 2 weeks) that I havn't been able to get into so their heading for the 3 week mark. By the time I get into them its going to be very hard going. Worse thing is I guess its a weeks earnings I'll never see but at least I've got a heap done round the house and that.....
Another day at home today and the forcast is for the same all week and weekend
I've got my "priority" list written up for when it fines up cause I know every buggers gonna want their lawn done that day
    Cheers, Jason.

After one day of fine weather, you'll get half of your clients ringing to ask 'Where are you? It hasnt rained for a day, I thought you would've been here by now'
I get that most times when we have had 3-4 days of rain, but normally respond with 'Funny you should say that. Forty of my other clients have had the same thought'
These people all seem to think they are our only clients!

Yes same here. Yesterday was only 24 and it was quite fresh this morning a 0600 when I was walking the dog. Amazing how quickly it can change.

I am feeling very lucky at the moment. Had planned on taking a lady friend to Marysville this weekend, I had Monday off so we were going to head up Saturday and come back Monday. But due to the total fire ban on Friday, had to cancel all my work, and move it to Monday, so cancelled the weekend away. On Friday I was not to happy about losing the days work, and not going away. Today I sit here thinking I should buy a tattslotto ticket, as I would not have wanted to be in Marysville on Saturday.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
