Rain Rain go away!!!!!!!!
I work in Auckland. This has been the coldest start to a winter I can remember. Down to 1-2C, which is cold for Auckland. Already several days or ice on the windscreen.
It is 5.06 pm and it just started bucketing down.Glad I'm not on a job.
It 4.45 pm here and it's been raining all day. Had some really good downpours and even some hail. So no work today and it was the same on Friday. Got jobs backed up so hope it's fine tomorrow. Managed to do quite a few quotes today though so that was a bonus.
Cheers

G'day Bluey, I guess we'll get that weather here in melbourne tomorrow
well i am bit bewildered at the moment , see we had heaps of rain for melbourne anyway and some of my lawns are so wet there are wheel tracks left after mowing...some i couldnt mow...because its been so dry i have forgotton how to mow wet grass including soft ground underfoot
Its the first time in at least ten years for me that ive been stopped by wet weather...not complaining...20 years ago we would go days without having to mow...i know you lot above us are used to it but down here its a novelity..need so much more rain though but long range doesnt look bright..then again these forecasters are no better than my old girls knees ( can tell you to the day when it rain ) ...so mowing wet grass maybe a new skill i will have to learn over again
Lol I'm with you geoff, been ages since I have had to wash the mower rather than just use the blower to blow the dust off the old girl
yeah i had forgo0tten about that green soup crap on the deck...I even used our garden hose to wash down not sure if we are allowed to do that with water restrictions but i dont care i use my water tanks to water tanks to water the garden and mains for the mowerOriginally Posted by Islandhead
small storm cell came through about 20 mins ago. stuff all rain. was going to spread fertiliser on my lawn - not now. been dry here in brissie for a few weeks now. lawns are starting to go brown.
Looks like that storm cell is heading this way to Hervey Bay, though it looks threatening.. i guess it'll blow over... no real rain here for months and months... down to 5 - 6 week cuts
I am with you on that Geoff old son. Sama Sama here mate. Bloody weed s are on steroids and taking over everything and everything is wet underfoot. Bloody dog **** is wet tooOriginally Posted by geoff

Today has been the weirdest day I think I've ever seen...
Woke up cold but no frost, meant to be foggy, nil fog but overcast, no ground wind. Clouds gone and sunny day by 10 am, lunch time hot sunny...
Afternoon... small hail and sun shower developing to rain, then rain stopped clouds came over and it was so muggy it was like a summer day before it rains. Then a shower and it's clear again, then a lighting storm... I thought it was winter in the southern hemisphere??
I'm about 35kms from Brissie and we're usually about 4degree either way of Brissie, so with tonights tv weather report we could be over 30 tomorrow. So much for the freezing cold westerly winds we usually have at this time of year???
I thought this kind of weather only happened in Melbourne...
Lawns are soggy here in melbourne alright. It's a bit annoying being so wet yet it's not really raining just that misty get you really wet type of rain. Dont think it does much for the catchments but bring on a bit of sun and we'll be out of control.
Cheers Rick
