Some ripper rain today, water tank is full and the veggies are looking lush
Still over 35 here, dark cloud coming in now, possibly storm coming tonight, some good rain would be really great, grass is burning
Hope everybody in Sydney and surrounds is getting this rain. Must of had at least 10 mil where I am and its still coming down.
Been raining steadily in the hills for a good few hours now mate.
Very good to see it.
After mowing dust the last few days it is definately good to see all this rain, should help green the lawns up I fertilised yesterday.
Yeah it got to 40 and the same time the very next day it was 16 degrees. You gotta be tough to be a lawnie hey or just plain mad.Originally Posted by Andy B
massive storm through this arvo. around 50mm in it. 36000 homes without power. strongest winds i've seen for a long time. trees brought down a couple of streets away from me. just wished this rain came about 2 weeks ago.
If all that rain came two weeks ago, would you be having a break between Xmas and New Year?Originally Posted by redbackmowing

They are forecasting an official 42 degrees here today so that means we will be closer to 44 where I am at because we are always a couple of degrees higher than the official one. It is already 28 here now at 0615 hrs. Supposed to be getting rain coming in tonight and raining tomorrow but clearing Xmas day. We have our last 4 jobs on today and then that's it for the year. Going to pick up our seafood after them and home. I will be having a coldie by the time it gets hot

Im with you Bluey, just finished for the year. 60 lawns done in 3 1/2 days. (help from my wife and son). All days over 30, today must be mid 30s, but finished at 1pm. About to walk up to the local to celebrate.Originally Posted by Bluey
Hot day last week took the stihl whipper snip to the bottom of a clients pool. I told him a couple of years ago some poor bugger is going to fall in as path is too close to pool,
HAD TO BE ME.
was good for laugh. At least they had the decency to go inside and piss themselves laughing.
Dried the stihl out in the sun for a hour and away it went no worries
Thers was no charge for checking out the pool floor and water condition.

lol....so you have a new service. Algae removal by whipper snipper. You just need a snorkle on the stihl and away you go. I have a really good client who has a garden around one side of her pool. I don't touch it as I know I would fall in. She has herself a couple of times. My offsider has had a couple of goes at it but I reckon he wants to fall in. Mind you I wouldn't mind seeing my client in a wet TShirt
