    Hi Bluey
Yep It was a good learning curve actually. I have never ask offsiders if they can swim. I suggest we all do that from now on.

It is 2051 hrs here right now. We have 33.5 degrees and no wind and about 97 % humidity. I just looked at my weather station and the barometer is showing 990. If our water temp was around 35 degrees I would say we were set for a cyclone.

Bugger me it reminds me of Cairns. I am loving it but everyone else is melting

It got close mate but wasn't as bad as a few weeks ago. I am hoping we have had our share for a while. At least it is toughening us up for when the summer really hits. We will be like pro's by then.

Yes tell me about. We were just having a few beers out the back and yes I am wearing a jumper. 44 one day and half that the next. It is actually a bit cold at the moment. Lucky I have a 10 ltr port keg with a good mix of port and rum. Great for these cold spells.

plenty of rain in brissie over last few days. lawns are greening up. should be a busy start to new year. Weather Bureau says QLD faces up to four cyclones by April. scary thought.

Another hot spree starting here. It is going to be above 41 for the next 4 days maybe hotter. We got an early start this morning and did what we had to do and have knocked off at midday. Just had a couple of beers with my offsider out the back and now am doing my book work in the air con. Already 40 here now.

Bit hot over here, and apparently going to be for next few days as well. It was 28 out the back of my place at 9am this morning.

44.5 out the back of my place just now in the shade. We have a howling northerly blowing as well. The wind is a real killer coming in straight from the desert. I hope that we don't get any fires because if we do they will be hard to stop. We are supposed to be getting a cool change tonight with the forecast of 27 tomorrow
