I'm a bit sick of all this rain in cranbourne. We have had record amounts. A lot of the lawns I've turned up to in the last 3 weeks have been so water logged ya cant mow them without leaving tracks from the wheels deep enough to drive a train on.
Went out to do my run today and after the 5th place that I couldn't mow packed it in and went to vic roads to do a trailer rego transfer. That is just a whole different story. Thank God it is finally done, if I have to deal with them again in the next couple of months I might not make it through.

Hearing you loud and clear Cranbourne, my local pizza guys asked me last night if I mow when it's wet. I replied of course. He said but doesn't it damage the grass, and I said well if your blades are sharp and it's not too boggy it should be fine. He looked at me strangely so I said put it this way if I didn't mow wet grass I would barely of mowed a lawn in the past 3 or so months.

And another thing, at least we can decide when it's too wet to work, imagine being told you've gotta work when it's wet. Being your own boss you get to make the decision, cold wet and cranky I'm probably going home, cold and wet but not cranky I'm probably going to keep going so long as it's safe.

Andy B, Ian mentioned on a previous post that we should pray we get this kind of rain in the summer. As for working in the wet, not for me, my clients turn me back. No work for a week but sweet picking the week after. Winter is a great time, bring it on......
