yeah we were slightly less at 33 but i must be getting older because i am stuffed after that heat...when you cruise along at low temps and wham the temp rises it comes as a bit of a shock to the system...especially as our growth is going bananas as we speak slogging along like the olden days

Get ready for the humidity Geoff...thunderstorms tonight and 32 degrees tomorrow.

    Loathe that sort of weather.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Saturday is usually my busiest day. I don't mind working in the rain but only got 4 jobs done on Thursday and none today and probably only two that I can do in the wet tomorrow. I hope it eases up this week or I'm going to go mad re-scheduling who I think is most important and who can wait!

Yes get as much done before Wednesday down here cause it looks like it's going to be wet for the rest of the week. With all the rain and the extra work wanted at every house I think I need a business laxative. lol

this is a reflexion of my spring...

    From the Courier Paper

"Thirty-five millimetres of rain was recorded in Ballarat over the last two days, with Saturday the wettest day."
"The deluge took the Spring total in Ballarat to 301 millimetres, with more than half of the rain recorded on weekends."
"Of the 13 weekends in Spring, 178.8 millimetres of rain fell."
"There were only three weekends where rain was not recorded."

Now being a part timer who mainly works weekends guess what my dilema has been??

I can wait till next year when I can go full time!!

It's been raining a lot up this way of late too, so we've been finishing off jobs in the rain of late, just to have them done. It pays to know the lawn type and drainage pattern of regulars so you can work out which yards are more do-able in this weather.

I hear ya, it can be pretty frustrating but like Christine said you've got to know your lawns and do the ones you can. There's ones I won't touch wet but others that are fair game and no problem at all. As for going full time, are you thinking you will keep some of your customers on a weekend schedule or cut it out the weekends all together??

    Rain is a swear word......
Ive started to do weeding on a regular basis for most of my regular lawn mowing clients so ill have work all year long.
I ended up doing a weeding job last monday in the fR*King rain.
Allot of mud which hosed down good.
    Worth the money.
