lol having come up from sydney I cant say ive noticed anything record breaking about the temps up here. it has been a little chilly early in the morning but nothing getting a light blanket out of the cupboard for the first time didnt fix. I think the doona and electric blanket have been permanently retired! Still beautiful mid 20 days, just so dry, although we did get about 15 mins of drizel this arvo which was nice.

started sprinkling while on the ride on (not nice), stopped long enough to blow everything then came down heavier about 10 seconds after i put the blower back in the van (nice), home now relaxing and its just finished pissing down real heavy for about 20 minutes giving everything a good soak (very nice) amazing how in a matter of a couple of weeks you can go from hating the rain every day to loving it the rare occasions it appears

Big blow coming so they say and lots of rain. Hits tomorrow arvo so it is up on the roof tomorrow morning to do the gutters and then batten down the hatches. Reminds me of getting ready for cyclones but SA would disintegrate if it got a cyclone

Here is a pic of Lake Mountain today. It's a about an hour away. 15 minutes away also has snow and snow is falling and expected to continue to fall all night. It's currently 1.4 degrees (feels like -1.4). I think it's going to be very difficult getting out of bed in the morning.

Oh and our heater just died....think we have a blockage in the gas line.

I hate snow...brought up with it and cold and wet is the best I can say although I did like hunting in it. I saw on the TV you guys were in for a cold one. Just went outside and bloody cold here too. Did I tell you I hate winter.

Used to visit Lake Mountain as a kid, oh so much fun it was I clearly remember.

Today, it was similar up my way,as when we get the snow on the alpine region the chill factor arrives via the wind off it.

Did 2 hrs preparing a Saturday job by removing Autumn leaves from mega "Jack in the Bean Stalk" sized Oaks.
Then the hail hit, so I went and picked up me ride on after spindle/mandrel replacements were done by the dealer (same day call and service-great). By 2.30pm, did a oil/filter change, etc on me youngest daughter's hand me down car as she got her license yesterday.
It's so hard to get motivated to do a full car service in sub 10 degree temp's laying on colddd concrete- brrrr,
Got a feeling there's gona be plenty of time mucking around at home this week.
    Cheers Garry

Hey Garry grab a big cardboard box like what a fridge would be delivered in from Hardly Normal etc). Flatten it so it becomes two layers thick. This is what I put on the concrete when working on the cars and it helps a lot with the cold and is a bit softer to lie on too.

Yerrr, Paul should have done that, I actually had my Golden Retriever buddy pinching mop up rags and spanners whilst under the vehicle. That gets one well kinda frustrated very quick!!!.

How cold was it today,Brrrrrrrrr!!!! 9deg max
and I worked all day with elderly residential church estate clients. Sooooo cold, but when the lovely/grateful clients come out with hot white coffee and premium biscuits. You can only think how good this job is, even in winter.

Still booked out solid for a further 2.5 weeks, when does it slow down. Up selling the gardening/prunning and its working well.
Hopefully by July, I can do some Brown and Rainbow Trout fishing with the expected days off.

Edit; and I was wearing the good ol Yakka shorts today - great stuff, but I will own up to a blue denny singlet under me high vis shirt.
    Cheers Garry

    4 Gardens,

Always remember going to a Drive In once as a 20yr old with my best mate in Canberra. The drive in had what we thought were two speaker modules. One actually was a fan heater to hang on your rear passenger window. Took a photo of it to show our other more southern mexican friends of how well equipt Canberra drive ins were.
    Cheers Garry

Going to be between 4 and 11 degrees here today and I'm working on an exposed site copping all the southerly winds

I can't wait for summer to return. I hate the cold so much more than the heat.
