g'day all ,

anyway bumped into another contractor today and all he done was sook and ***** about the rain. let him go for a while..................finally i had to remind him there are hundreds if not thousands of contractors in other parts who would give their left nut for the rain we've been having. also told if he doesnt like it go and get a desk job and pass your customers on to me.
d#$khead wont be whinging when the grass is still green in summer.then again he probably will

The State Government has declared Lismore a "natural disaster zone" after widespread damage caused by a severe hailstorm yesterday.
Emergency Services Minister Nathan Rees said the declaration meant residents, business owners and councils would now have access to special assistance.
"In particular, it ensures councils will be reimbursed for the cost of repairing public infrastructure," Mr Rees said.
"The region's valuable fruit industry has sufferred heavily, with severe damage to crops coming into season.
"The storm has damaged Lismore City Council buildings ... as well as the Museum, Base Hospital and Ambulance Centre, TAFE College, Telstra building and the Lismore police station."
Mr Rees said the roof of the Anglican Church had been damaged and the Richmond River High School and Trinity College both had extensive window damange.
"Many homes in the city have smashed windows, damaged roofs, broken skylights and awnings and water damage," he said.
Thousands of vehicles have also been damaged, Mr Rees said.
He praised the effects of NSW State Emergency Service workers after touring the area today.
Hail the size of grapefruit: resident
Lismore resident Alan Sankey said in an email: "The hail reached almost the size of grapefruit. This ... was the worst I have ever seen in 30 years of living in Lismore. Hundreds of cars are a write-off. Orchard and nursery production have received a massive setback. There are over 300 damaged roofs and thousands of broken windows in an area already suffering from a lack of tradesmen due to the housing and renovation boom. Hardware stores remain open late into the night as volunteers and SES workers hurry to secure dwellings against the possibility of further storms. It could be 12 months or more before the full extent of damage is either known or repaired. [There is] extensive damage to shopping centres, government buildings, schools and hospitals."
