Default SpeedZTR 30 or gravely ZT 34

The time has come for me to invest in a brand new zero turn. Must be able to get into back yards. so in the 30 inchs or so widths.

Its come down to these 2 mowers.
    SpeedZTR 30 $4290
    Gravely ZT 34 $3999
    Which one should i get?
Any reviews or person experiences in these ?

I already have the Dixon's catcher ( by mistake)

I'm watching this blog very closely, not that I'm into it but in a way I want to know lots more, a zt=bigger trailer=never driven a tractor let alone a zero turn, but they look like fun.

ZRT s are fun... in and out of spots so quickly. around trees etc very quickly.
Plus they take off and go fast. You cut down the time on doing a job by at least 50-60%

    Hi imoww
Whats the price on both mowers?
The Gravely looks good but 8k + for a 34 inch? If the Dixon is around 5k the Gravely is nearly double. A lot to make up the difference.
Do either have swing back blades?
You already have the catcher for the Dixon swings things in its favor I would think.
    Good luck with your choice.

    It's $3999.

Methinks I've made up my mind guys. DIXON all the way.
Allot of bad reviews on gravely, especially the domestic version

Have a look at the Hustler Fastrak Mini. Comparable price to the Gravelly and bullet proof. You get what you pay for guys. You use a domestic machine in a commercial environment and you end up paying for it. ie, hit something large with a pressed steel deck you'll wished you got the fabricated one.

The link I posted is for the commercial 34 and I understand its the more expensive machine. Its that way for a reason!

Here is a larger version of what your keen on. That Dixon might be blue but it is most likely Orange underneath. (Note the price)

    The reviews...http://www.productreview.com.au/p/hu...19-rz4621.html

Does the Dixon have any commercial warranty? It only says 2yr residential.

    Just beware is all!

    Edit...
    Totally agree!

If your buying for residential yards make sure you check the overall width of the mower rather than just the cut width. They vary quite a bit.

Which is easier to get through a tight gate? A 32 Inch tractor or a 32inch ztr assuming they are the same overall outside width. I have a 32inch tractor but never owned a ztr.

Just had a look, the Dixon 30 has a 35.5" overall width. So you need a gate just over 905mm for access. Gravely are quoting 89.5cm with for their Compact Pro that has a 34" cut so that will just fit through a 900 gate.

Have been measuring gates recently on my rounds, and theres a heap of 600mm gates around. So you really need driveway access to the backyard to make this work.

Had both. Ztr is much easier as you can wiggle them through.

The Husky is too big 42 inch but i like the price.
Husqvana and Dixon are now Husquvana I know....
    Didnt like the reviews either.
Im going to the hop today to ask about a commercial warrantee on the Dixon.
As for the Hustler Fastrak Mini??? looks like 36 inch is the smallest...
