Default Where to buy in Brisbane?

Guys & girls I may have to head to Brisbane tomorrow in search of a new machine. Still having no luck finding clutch replacement parts for my Makita RBC2510 and no-one here stocks any Makita OPE anymore.

What shops in the south or south-west of Brisbane have Makita gear on the shelf?

Yeah I just bought that power head for my kombi. If I was buying a snipper today it would be the fs94

Nah no brand change for this great little trimmer. It has been my everyday machine for almost three years and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. The Robin engines are brilliant. Great value for a 25cc machine at under $300. The only let down is the business/admin/parts supply side of their company unfortunately.

The only Stihl gear I own are the MS170 chainsaw and the KM130 powerhead plus chainsaw and extended hedge trimmer attachments. It has the power but I'm really not a fan of that engine.

It's not Brisbane but when I bought some stuff from Burns mowers in Adelaide pretty sure he mentioned they could get parts for the Makita 2510. Seemed pretty knowledgable anyway.

Mind you at around $300 (with a new trimmer head) for a new one you'd have to factor in travel time, cost of part etc to see if it is worth it. It might make more sense to fork out for a new one and keep that one for spares especially given that it sounds like spares are hard to come by.

Yeah the KM130 is a love hate thing, I personally love the power delivery but they are troublesome when they get a bit older and develop crank case leaks etc. The new 94r has gone back to the ever reliable 2 stroke with some nice refinements. Looks like stihl are dropping the 4mix in all the snippers but keeping it in the backpack blowers.

That's interesting about the 4mix. I've had mine 18 months to two years but may only use it once a month and it still has the odd starting and stalling issues.

Checked out the FS94 but way too exxy for me at the moment at $700
