BT50 isn't bad. How do you find the aircon? I don't think it is anywhere as near cold as the Rodeo. Is that normal or just ours?

Phil, the aircon on mime is plenty cold but I do seem to have a prob with it.
I seem to have to opt out of it as it starts up every time if I have the fan is on ?
I should give mazda a call.
Did you get my pm a while back ?
    Cheers Fred.

ps, its on the recirc mode, yes?

    Hi Fred
Worked out your problem today. If you have the cold setting all the way to the left where it says a/c the aircon will come on every time you start the engine up. What you have to do is move it up to the blue lines. That way the aircon won't keep coming on as default. Can't believe I stumbled on it today, it was driving me nuts too.
Yes I did get your message. Sorry didn't get around to replying.

Thanx Phil, 100% correct. Still think its a funny system though!

Worked very nicely pulling the van back from Corowa today in the 37 degree heat.

    Cheers Fred.

Hey Beetlejuice, are you an ex digger by any chance?

If you are who I think you may be, there is a FB page for 3RAR past & present. It'd be GREAT to see you on there!

Had the BT50 for close on two months, had the 1,000km free service. Early days still but very happy and enjoying the fuel economy of a diesel.

Very true mate, so glad to be rid of the Rodeo. As much as I am a Holden man I wouldn't touch the new Colorado either.

Touch wood, my 2015 Hilux is going great. Almost 20,000k's on it now and hasn't missed a beat. Good work truck so far.

Had the BT50 about 6 weeks now. Already up to 10000km almost. Had a couple of problems but nothing major. New windscreen wiper motor fitted. Bull bar not fitted correctly. Have to get it fixed at 10000 service. Very happy with it all round though.
