Sorry I havent read the whole thread, how many batteries would you cycle through on an 8 lawn day? Genuinely interested.

If you have 2x2.5amp/hr batteries & a rapid charger AND you charge as you mow, you will have continuous run time.
3x batteries would be better though, just in case .......... lol.

    Cheers Fred.

Nemesis NXR - a ride on mower that will mow 5 acres on one charge.

Mean Green have been doing great stuff for a long time - the first company that had commercial grade products on the market, the beat the big players by a country mile!

The NXR was first marketed as a residential model, but I see they've now changed that to "prosumer". I wonder how it would handle full commercial duties... The CXR range are actually their commercial ride-ons, up to 60" deck (vs 52" on NXR) and 7 hours runtime (vs 5 hours on NXR).

If they sold in Australia I would probably have had one of these instead of a Walker! But as it stands now you'd be paying thousands to have one shipped from U.S. and you're basically paying Walker money for a standard side discharge mid-mount ZTR. Even so, those who have already dipped a toe into the electric realm could imagine all the benefits... if I can get everything planned for the the quiet season I'll be testing one of these ride-ons!

Like no fuel costs, less downtime servicing etc etc

    Nope, not at all!

I think it was NALAM that put me onto these guys, mentioned them in another thread: zeromow.com.au
Seems that they exist for the sole purpose of championing electric battery powered OPE to the Australian lawn maintenance industry. They offer demos in the Sydney area, and they have a Mean Green CXR. They must be seriously hyped on it, because I know how much it cost to get my Mean Green MGP-20 shipped to Aus (almost as much as the machine cost), maybe their CXR came on a slow boat via China or they have contacts in global logistics.

Won't hurt to ask them during the demo, which I'm sure you will. Will be interested to hear your thoughts after the demo.
