Yeah thats what I reckon too mate. I know nothing about the latest battery powered gear either. Its definitely a niche market but there are plenty of greenies in Adelaide so he may just win out. I thought it was interesting someone had given it a go.

I wonder if they do feral jobs? I noticed he requests picking up dog poo, most of my 6 monthly regulars have dog crap in long grass . However its a good looking setup and I think his target market is not feral crap.

Bit of a gimmick playing on the environmentally conscious. Can image that he'd have to premium jobs not to stuff up that homeowner equipment but cant see people paying premium prices for him to mooch around their yards at a casual pace. He's also cutting out a lot of income by not using chemicals.

I didn't read that he has to finish all work by 2.30pm in winter and 5.00pm in summer to get home to charge all the batteries under eco friendly solar power. Otherwise my business create polluting carbon emissions to recharge my fleet of batteries from the grid.

We all may laugh now, eventually the mowers will be bigger, longer battery life, and one day mandatory, My first mobile phone, Uniden 3kg, 2nd hand from auction $1200, 3 watts, 1988. Great phone, I got rid of the answering machine, soon the phone diversion came into effect, and my bills were very expensive, Telecom charged 2 cents per itemised account, then Optus came in and now we're here. So if this blokes idea is successful he'll be ahead by miles.

Technology is evolving at a super fast rate, look where we've come from since the first Victa.

I'll be totally organic myself and worm food by the time mower people are enforced to run by battery techno. By that time it will all micro block size houses or vertical apartments having carbon based synthetic grass inserts.
In my own street which has some nice homes, one house that is very nice split levelled in the hillside and I have serviced their perimeter Hedges. Has synthetic lawns to the front across the nature strip. Two other really good job I have, have synthetic grass inserts in parts of their property. Might sound like a bad job to have, but these by design mix of natural/artificial and size of property are great jobs.

I wonder how long before he becomes as cynical and jaded as a lot of the blokes on here.

As far as I can tell he's an Indy operator giving it a go with a professional image and point of difference.
he'll be charging a premium price which is what everyone wants, why so much hate?
