Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
Bring on the methanol. My mower mechanic also races sprintcars in spare time. Methanol + victa 2 stroke = fun!

A small engine mechanic once told me never to use 98 octane in small 2 stroke engines something to do with it lessening the lubricating prospects of the 2 stroke oil, never looked into the research myself so wouldn't know whether that's fact or fiction. I use 91 because i've never had an issue with it and it's the cheapest. With fuel being one of our biggest expenses i'm happy to save where i can even if its only a small amount. It all adds up.
I run 91 octane + Opti-2 - Save the money on the fuel + spend it on the best oil available.
Classic combination.
spending extra for the 98 fuel will save you money and also make you money.
I run 98 octane + Opti-2 in all my equipment even the 4 strokes and straight 98 octane in my vehicle.
Used 91 for 12 months then changed and used 30% less fuel using the 98 compaired to 91. the equipment starts easier and has alot more power that save time on the job.
That's a great video. .i enjoyed that
yep - cuts through the bs

I stand corrected, I use the 95 octane not 98, only because that what the ute needs to stop the pinging.
