    Default Perfect place to retire.

Perfect place to retire, whats yours. We are halfway through a cold and wet Melbourne winter and it starts you thinking of warmer climates and your own piece of paradise, which got me thinking, where if money was no object would you like to retire? Me i'd like somewhere warmer. I'm not overly fussed some of these would be worth a try, Broken Head NSW, Noosa, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Port Macquarie. Have you ever thought about it and if so where would you like to retire.

Atherton Tablelands on the shores of Lake Tinaroo (1hr inland from Cairns). Would love about 10-15 acres and live off my own organic produce - fruit, veges, cattle, chooks, ducks, plus get back into water skiing. Maybe even set up a holiday house there as well for cash flow. But would have to win lotto or come into a lot of money somehow.

Probably 1 of the better gated sub divisions in Tag aytay Philippines. About 50 ks out of Manila.
Low 30's in summer and high 20's for much of the year. Quite a bit of rain but from previous experience it's usually quite warm anyway.

I'll trade off a warm climate in return for good health in retirement and a quick death when the time comes. Don't want to rot in a nursing home or be a burden on anyone.

Ideal climate would be northern NSW and inland a bit to avoid all the tourists. Somewhere not overdeveloped and full of investors and real estate agents. Haven't found it yet. I do like Hervey Bay up in QLD too.

I have a mate who was silly enough to leave that place to come down to Dingley Village down here in Vic, he was originally from Vic but went up there for 17 years and loved it. Come back down here to be near family, i think part of him still wants to be back there.
