    Default Left Behind

Just wondering if anyone has ever left any equipment behind at a job. I haven't yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. If you have left something behind, what was it and did you notice at the next job it was missing or did the client call you first?

Yep, I sometimes use my John Deer js48 and lost the mulch plug and side discharge chute diverter, never found them, but I think I left them in the catch bag, did a mow and chucked them out with the clippings.

    that's very careless of you.

I've left gloves and various items on jobs but nothing major. Lost a metal rake at the tip. Don't buy any green gardening tools, they are easier to lose.

Yep, Fuel Jerry cans, Still do not know where I left my brand new 5lt 2st jerry can, or some bastard stole it. First day I had it it went missing, either way it's gone. Also lost gloves, and the odd tool at the tip.

Not job related.. But lost my good hat of the back of a mates Catamaran. My stupidity though, I was hanging off the back end into the water

Not job related either and not lost but we were powering along on Talbingo dam and noticed something floating in the water. Turned around and picked it up. It was a full on fly jacket with hundreds flies and little tools and weird stuff, luckily there was no fisherman attached.

My offsider left a wheelbarrow at the greenwaste tip...it was a stanley one
A very nice fellow gardener picked it up , called me the next day and dropped off to me
My offsider had the nickname stanley for a few months

Left a mulch fork at a customers, realised it was missing a week or so later but didnt know where I left it
Next time at that job, around 2 months later the customer gives it back....yay

Found a stihl blower one day, a tradie ute powered through a roundabout and it fell off the back into the middle of the road
I stopped and picked it up and waited about 15 mins, no sign of the tradie
It was pretty crappy and old

Around 30 yrs ago I was driving through Tuena NSW, winding unsealed road and this wanker overtook me in a table top F100, dust and rocks everywhere.
5k's later a nice big fat mechanics toolbox was in the middle of the road, to day I'm still using the tools, although the toolbox was a mess.
