    Default petrol hedge trimmer

Hi all.my not so old tanaka has kicked the bucket! Any recommendations? Not much choice if u want 600 mm blade.
Stihl hs45 600mm is $350 at the moment.the shindy is twice that price but may be better machine..i still have an old tanaka but she wont last..

Might be able to pick a Kawa kht600 for under $600..it's lighter than most others too.anyone have one?do you reckon 1 kg difference in weight makes a difference?some of my hedging jobs are around 2 hrs.okay I've probably answered my own question..

I don't do much hedging luckily. Really makes my shoulders sore when I do.

Anyone use one of those single sided 40in hedge trimmers like the Maruyama in Redeye's link. I have never seen one. I would guess they are dear. Just wondering if they are worth the extra money.
    Cheers

Only use I can see for a single sided is long runs of dead straight hedges ....less likely to leave it looking wavey or choppy
