Default Help with Rover Procut self propelled please....

    Hi all

To the rover experts out there please.....

The clutch appears to be engaging properly as the drive chain is spinning around without a problem. However this is not resulting in any drive to the back wheels.

Over the course of a few jobs I noticed the power disappearing and now nothing.

I have done all checks in accordance with the manual re: adjusting the clutch, chain and belt.

What would be the next thing I should check please.

    Regards
    Brad

    This ^

Alternatively to welding, I used a section of 3" nail and blurred the ends to stop it slipping out, haven't had an issue since.

Yep drive gear on axle shaft has a pin in it which is designed to snap if overloaded, which is crap really. Put a new pin and off you go. I put a high tensil bolt and lock nut in mine, helps if you are into model aircraft LOL

    Thank you for the responses

I have found an online parts diagram, could someone please visit the link and get back with the part numbers that match where I should be looking?

#56 is the sprocket & #58 is the roll pin that might have let go. From memory, I think there are 2 possible sized roll pins if you go for original parts.

no point putting new pin in as it will break within same time frame, i have had them break within 1 week, once welded or bolted you will never have any issues .

Guys how do I access this part of the mower (drive cog and shaft)? I've already got the rear wheels off, the disc and the top cover that goes over the clutch/chain

    Thanks

If you open the rear chute flap, you will see a plastic cover on the left side of the deck. The sprocket is inside that.
To access it you first have to remove the metal strips #61 & #62 that cover the axle. Then you undo the bolts on the cover. The cover might also be held with adhesive. Slide the cover cover along the axle to expose the sprocket.

I have a full service manual .pdf somewhere. If I can find it, I could send it to you tonight if you like.
