Anyone have a Victa 550 Slow Speed Kit that they would like to sell?
Even a second hand one would be ok.
List price is around $200. I don't want to spend that plus Around $100 to fit it on a mower worth $300.

I believe the part no. is CH85702A.
Anyone know where I could buy that cheap? ie around $100 instead of $200.

It looks like the kit is just a bigger gearbox pulley & a longer belt to suit.
If you take your old pulley to a Belts & Bearings shop, they might have a generic pulley with a slightly larger diameter that will fit. You'd have to do the math to work out how much speed you drop with different sized pulleys. Then do the math again to work out the length of the new belt needed.
Before you pull the old one out, get a good idea of how much bigger diameter pulley will fit and operate in its place.
If you can find out the size of the pulley in the genuine kit, that would make things easier.
Hi edbeek
Thanks very much for your suggestions.
The math might be a challenge to me but my mechanic might be able to work it out.
This has given me some ideas. One of my dead spare 550's seemed to be slower than my current one. Maybe the pulley off it is what I need.

Anyone know the diameter of the slow speed pulley?
Anyone know the diameter of the normal speed pulley?
