    Default Formula for round value

Hi Guys. Need some help. Want to split my round to ease the work load and need some idea on how to value/ price the cut to sell.

    Cheers.

Yep, 10 x the cut for a really good round >> well priced, compact, good payers, good cut cycles etc.

Im sure if you look through the adds placed in Indy you will get an idea.

Thanks guys, but what do you mean by cut. Is it the weekly value of the jobs? or the actual individual customers cut price x 10?

    10 clients
    1x4weekly @$60
    5x2weekly @$50
    4x3weekly @$55
    = cut value of $470
Basically what you get per single cut per client x10

    I haven't sold a round in years, but I sold 4 splits between 2003-08.

    The formula back then was:

The price of each job divided by the frequency of the cut in weeks multiplied by 20.

So, a $45 job that gets cut every 3 weeks was worth $300.

A $45 job that got cut every 2 weeks was worth $450.

A $45 job that was cut every week was worth $900.

It worked quite well, building up my round, splitting it & selling rounds. It made lawn mowing quite profitable.

Not sure it would work these days, there seems to be a massive amount of guys mowing lawns around here!

Thanks Kakegc. Your formula is like the old VIP one that was 10 times. Its a fairer way to get a real value of a job but the 10x is way to cheap in this area. I like the 20x or might find a happy medium if the end result is a bit high.

    Cheers
