    Default Blower speed/volume.

I assume a blowers air speed can simply be increased by reducing the air flow/volume ?
Im thinking like reducing a irrigation pipe, less flow, more pressure.
This would then make the volume spec the most important ? (in terms of performance).

    Cheers Fred.

correct Fred lower the size of the nozzle and increase the velocity while decreasing the volume this is how some cheaper blowers can say such high velocity figures very small narrow pipes and you will notice they never give volume as well
it's the ratio of one to the other that's important, high velocity low volume think compressor blow gun basically useless 6 inches away from gun or high volume low velocity think household fan both great for there purpose but pretty useless for blowing leaves, high velocity is recommended for moving gum leaves as these suckers are aerodynamically designed to stay where they are
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

What you do is step on the end of the tube (squash it) and make it what you want

Might need to put it out in the sun to warm up first, could depend on brand too
    Heat gun would help it

    That's the right way!
Leave it in the sun while on a big job, move the car and job done
1st time was quite expensive but second time sees my old shindy with a flat end nozzle that works quite well

i reckon its the volume of air not speed that does the trick...bought a blower with a four stroke honda motor has a big opening and pushes a great volume if air...thats what I've found anyway ..
