Default back pack blower for scarifying jobs

On average i'd do about 10 scarifying jobs a summer season, did see the idea on youtube guys using back pack blowers to move the thatch into a pile where i usually rake which is time consuming.
Didn't want to spend heaps on a back pack but would be interested in knowing id anyone has bought this blower.
Usually i'd be looking at a Stihl or Shindy but as it's only for the scarifying and no lawns due to being small yards and it would be a overkill

the air volume looks to be heaps and very cheap worth a try i would say a good brand is gunna cost you $1000

Overkill ? i use my $1000 backpack for everything, 4 times faster doing the job, less walking, more comfortable and does a better job.

The other one is a 4 stroke which is looking like the best choice

one of the beer bobs here got the small mtm backpack, he used it once or twice and went back to his hand held - this one might be worth a go though!

I bought the MTM 85cc and it is a pain to start sometimes, fiddled with the carby and not much better. In the same boat as you Beetlejuice, only use it a couple of times a fortnight so couldn't justify the $1000 for a big brand. Blows plenty of air, but pretty noisy.

I had the BR600 until I put straight juice in by error on a hot day. Then I got the new BR700, had to tell the dealer it was now available in Au at the time last year as I was watching for its release.
Well to my customers who care to talk lawns/equipment, I call it the "V8" powered Backpack because that's how its goes.
So glad I've got the 700 instead of the 600 when I had to re purchase the backpack and so glad at the moment having the beast with all the ten million Autumn Leaves about like today.
Advice from me with you being a long time operator, spend a bit more and get good stuff and you will find so many more jobs for it. But can understand if your yards are small.
    Cheers Garry

Thanks Troppo for that info on the MTM
Gazz and Red i truly like buying quality lawn products and we all know why we should being professionals.I mite hang off as i won't need it until the scarifying starts up and look for a used well known branded blower.

I recently quoted 100 units with 40 more being built,if i win that i'll be buying a backpack (new) the next day.

Oi! I still use a hand blower. Nothing wrong with a Stihl BG86. Very handy for those tight spots. Beer bobs buy those cheap machines from the hardware stores or just leave the clippings on the road.

I have Stihl BG86 I only start it so it gets a run every couple of weeks, **** compared to the Husky 570. it like comparing a hand saw and a chainsaw.

I leave the clippings on the road, a risk assessment makes working on the road to dangerous in some streets and its also illegal without proper signs, i make a good effort but if wind blows some clipping from trimming you cant do anything just leave it. the busy streets are cleaned up by car in a few hours , the quite ones i do a quick walk around the car when there is no traffic.
