Hey Red,what was the end result in what you used to tie down the mower.I had been looking for something as a quick tie down product and was just wondering if had found something like that ?
same as my old trailer, just a bit of telecom rope that goes from the front over the 2 left hand wheels to an eye bolt - l'm not going far and never get over 40kph with the mower on the front

Yeah same here just local stuff at slow speeds,i'm probably over thinking it
Found these ratchet tie downs retractable at supercheap @ $60 pair, made life easier.
They only go to 3m length and not oversized or awkward to use,at 7-9 stops per day it made it faster getting mower off and back on.Pic is look alike
retractable would be handy, l'm using the normal ones for the ztr

G'day to the Victorian Crew.
Has anyone had business dealings with U-Beaut Trailers at Seaford Vic?
Would you recommend their product.
Looking at purchasing their 8x5 lawn mowing tipper trailer.
Will be collecting from South Australia.
Have to replace my 30 year old trailer. Starting to do the fred flintstone when loading.
Cheers Astro.
What would be the best heavy duty trailer for heavy 60 inch ztr?
I'm thinking 8x6 as I've got a truck so don't want any unnecessary length
Doesn't seem to be a common size
I've found this online : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F152789303643
Is this a reasonable price? and good build quality?
I don't have much experience with trailers at all, so opinions appreciated!
I think the design is practical and with addition of cage/ sides can double up for waste removal if required?
Do you need 1990kg ATM? I have a single axle 10x6 and it's rated to 1600kg (Tare 500). You might pick up a single axle cheaper.
That price seems reasonable for a tandem.
I hate them big ramps on the back, so with a single axle tilt trailer, I only need 600mm long ramps. My mower rear wheels sit pretty much on the axle, so not much weight behind, so it tows nicely.

Thanks, ... Not sure if needs to be single or tandem but if I get a ztr it will weigh about a 1000kgs as will be a heavy duty diesel model.
I really think I'll have to get 8x6 as my truck is long enough as it is.... and I live in inner suburbs lol
My truck is about 2.3 meters tall all round i think that ramp will not stick up higher... is that the reason you don't like the ramp?
I assumed that ramp would be most sturdy and safe / convenient way of unloading?
What's involved in tilting a trailer?
I've only really looked online but also found this which is single axle

But looks to be 10x6 so too long for me
Build quality doesn't seem as heavy although galvanised is good and so is price haha
Didn't realise how expensive some can be!
