    Default Scheduling software

Hi folks, I am new here so please be gentle.

Does anyone use or can recommend any scheduling software??

To date I have been using outlook calendar but having just put out flyers recently, I am having trouble keeping up with the scheduling then also remembering what I am charging everyone??

I am hoping for scheduling software which is fairly user friendly; does not have to be cloud based and can allow for more services than just lawns.

I am currently using Wave Apps for my invoicing etc... so think I'm ok with that, unless the scheduling software does that as well.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Paul

I have always used "keep it easy" which has been great, although I'm reluctant to go to the cloud version.
But I still use job cards & paper diary. Reason is I had a mate that worked only from his computer and it died losing the last months info on jobs done and invoiced. He had no idea who owed what and had to wait for the $ to come in.
With the cards all info etc is on them and the paper diary has jobs entered 4wks in advance. It sits on the seat next to me, no flat batteries, no lost internet.

I use service m8 and have been since march
It has saved me plenty of time
It also does invoicing, quotes and other addon such as automated text and email reminders

It is cloud based and after 20 free jobs a month you pay 50c a job
I use it on my phone and can clock in and out and see what your job should cost
I alos use it at home on pc - much easier to set up and do schedule

Sounds good. Any up front cost involved.

Do you still use Service M8?
I had a look at the website - $79 or $149 a month is a fair bit!.. is it worth it?
I'm only interested in scheduling features

Anyone else got any new tips on what they use for scheduling jobs?
I've had cloud accounting / invoicing since day 1 ... but haven't really found anything as quick and easy as a diary for scheduling - I just put "Customer Name - 4 weeks" then cross off and write 4 weeks later once completed
I'm getting a tablet so thinking of using either outlook or gmail or even samsung calendar ????
Anyone else doing this?.... Got a few questions!

Thanks - looks like an awesome system for business with multiple contractors on the road

I might try the calendar first and see how I go

There's no proper way to mark items complete on the calendars.... I've read about a few work arounds such as changing the category so the colour changes etc

    What technique did you use?

Service M8 does work well, I have 2 crews each day.

I used to put the number of weeks until the next visit after there name in the calender
I had no way of marking it done, Just had to reschedule to another day if not completed.
I did check and maintain the calender everyday

Nice work - definitely worth it for you then

I just figured out a way to mark as done on calendar (including recurring 2 weekly jobs etc)
Only works properly on google not outlook calendars - change the colour of the job to green or whatever - in google it wont affect the rest of the recurring 2 weekly job or whatever it is , whereas outlook changes all recurring events
