Default Honda with possible sticky valve please help

    Hi All
Having issues with my Honda hrx217
It would not start so I checked the valve clearances
The exhaust valve clearance was way out large gap so udjusted it to 0.008 in
Then after Mowing for around 2hrs same thing wouldn't start
Seams the valve arm or rocker is now bent
    What would cause this
    Sticky valve maybe?
I can bend the arm back and set the clearance but I'm sure it will happen again
    How do I fix a sticky/stuck valve ?
This is my back up my main mower a msport contractor is in for warranty repairs
So need to fix it or I'm in the ****
    Thanks Greg

I bought a HRX217 from the local Honda dealer and the governor wasn't working so took it back straight away, to which they said it was working fine. Took it home and upped the revs to compensate which was fine until one day it wouldn't start. After checking everything myself I took it back to the dealer and left it with them. They rang back later and said it had dropped a valve seat, but fortunately they fixed it under warranty and the governor worked like it should after the repairs. Hope that isn't your problem as they had to get a new half case as the head, barrel and half the case is one casting.

    Thanks for the reply Troppo
I decided to go have another look
Turns out the rocker arm had a crack in it so got out the mig and welded the crack
Checked the valve for movement all good
Put it back in set the valve clearance and presto starts good ,runs good ..
    Fingers crossed time will tell
