Default 2 Stroke engines under 25hp to be phased out

Many have known (NEW) outboard 2 stroke sales will cease as of 1st july 2019.
The next target is any 2 Stroke engines under 25hp including mowers, generators, chainsaws and brushcutters.
The proposed rules, exemptions would only be granted under exceptional circumstances – where no clean alternative is viable
No date has been set to when this will take effect but it will probably follow the same example of what 2 stroke outboards rules were,e.g.where all dealers and importers are discouraged from importing spare parts for 12 months starting(1/7/2018) prior to the sales ban,one year later all 2 stroke sales must cease (1/7/2019)and all new outboards must be re-exported or be destroyed.

they are stopping CARBIE 2 stoke outboard motor because of the air polution and directly into water ways, the waterway polution has been a visable issue since day one, oil slicks on lakes etc.

new high tech direct injection technology 2 stroke motors are not getting banned. My E-TEC will be fine, its only carbie crap
