Hi Guys
What free map measuring tools do you use? Find lot size now uses apple maps.
Is there anything that allows you to measure blow sizes with a reasonable view? And free?

I just found this one. Seems to work the same as findlotsize.

I just looked up findlotsize again, and they have a paid version now that still uses google maps. $20 for 1000 map views seems pretty reasonable. That would last me for years

I know it’s not free but I love nearmap.
Have looked at a few other measuring programs but nearmap is very up to date and so easy to use.
Works out about $22-23 a week.
Their prices aren’t fixed.
They tried to sell me a package for $1650pa.
But just tell them how much you want it and how much your willing to pay.
Could get it cheaper than I got it but I use it a fair bit and hate haggling so just accepted what I pay now.
Have had it a few years now and use it all the time.
Cheers rick
John,
There are quite a few(Free) tools that work with Google maps ........just do a Googlew search for "measuring areas with google maps" and you will find quite a few.
There is also the Vic Govt Landview website
Interactive Map Introduction - Land.vic.gov.au
http://www.land.vic.gov.au/home/go-t...nteractive-map
Introduction to the Interactive Map of Victoria, Australia.
which gives you the cadastral (block survey mapping) for whole of Vic and it has tools for measuring area, perimeter etc.
Can get to a parcel by street addresss, Bloc/sec no or by just interactive browsing.
Good hunting.
You might also find similar for some of the local govt areas ... I know Yarra Ranges shire has quite good public avail gis website.
