    Default Becoming an NDIS provider

    Hey all
Thinking of becoming an NDIS provider.
    Anyone been down this track?
Is it worth jumping through all the hoops and paper work ?
    Is there set pricing?
    Thanks Greg.

I had a quick look a couple of months ago... very low hourly rate
But if they would let you quote per job I would sign up?

$46.20 p/h so if you turn up with an ozito 16" push mower, trimmer and broom and spend an hour and a half doing the lawn and they will pay you $69.30 but turn up with $5,000 of equipment and do it in 20 minutes and they expect to pay $15.40 Typical government department no reward for efficiency so unless you are prepared to break the law and fudge the figures and risk the punishment in my opinion it's just not worth doing
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Do you get a quote approved first?

I do that for workcover jobs so at least I've got it in writing

Last time I read up on it.... sounded like you had to stick to the hourly rate.... although some other services required quotes.

Haha I put something like "lawns, edges, blow paths" on an workcover job and they said they don't pay for edges and paths just lawn mowing services... so had to resubmit just stating that and gave them complimentary path blowing lol

im in the position that im happy spending a few of hours a week doing pensioner rates, it a break from the go go go. Its not always about the money. my best lawns for me mentally are the free one that I do for a year, i do for poeple that have had some hardship. I do one every year.

you can ask as much as you like, it a hourly rate for time spent only, anyone doing otherwise is fraudulent. NDIS is not gunna change its for base rate contractors.
