    Default B & S 875is Instart Series Engine

    Hi
Anyone know when the B & S 875is Instart Series Engine will be available in Australia? I would really like one of these on my Big Bob mower. one on a Victa 560 could be really good too.
Can we buy one direct from the USA? If so where is the best place to buy from?
    Cheers

I think you are right about the 850. Thanks for posting the link.
    Are they available in Australia?
    Cheers

    Yep,
You post a letter in Albury to Wodonga - its goes 340km to Canberra Mailroom and 345km back to Wodonga, with a Canberra Mailroom stamp now appearing on the envelope. Mean while the Deck Belt you order from USA arrives quicker.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.

l bought that engine for my older mulchmaster - it has a longer shaft (70mm) which meant l had to use packing to lift it up 20mm.
    l got it here https://www.smallenginewarehouse.com.au/

you will need to know which shaft size is on it, honda use 3 different sizes apparently

Yer, I don't really understand the no oil change engines, it doesn't sit quite right with me but ...............
Also, what is a low tone muffler ?
How quiet does it make the mower & is there a power trade off ?

    Cheers Fred.

    Copied fro HRX217 replacement thread
there are 5 different crank shafts available for the GCV/GSV not sure which one is on the HRX but if you look at the serial number on the engine it may tell you
specs for the shaft are near the bottom GCV http://engines.honda.com/models/mode...tical#Features
    GSV http://engines.honda.com/models/mode...tical#Features

I know from when my 850 engine was replaced that there are different diameter and different lengths in the shafts the 1st one they got in the shaft was to wide for my boss and the 2nd one it was a long shaft and the Victa commercial 850 takes a medium shaft

Where is a good place to buy a 850E series I/C with instart? Or the 950E with electric start?
What size shaft do they have?
    Cheers
