Going by the specs not that much worse
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Clean air filters, fuel filters, breather tube and good quality oil seems to keep them going.
Ordered another EB802RT from USA. Not cheap like the one I got in 2010 but comparable to Aussie prices

The br800 is a great machine except for the spring assisted side start
I've probably turned it off to talk to someone 3 times then started it while on my back (i could do that with the previous model by reaching around anyway )

The other 700 times I've started it does my head in
Old machine 90 % one pull this machine 50%... sometimes 2 or 3 pulls. It's not like standard staters where you can rip the cord with more force. It charges up and then releases the rotational force which is always the same. So actually pulling the cord is a slower process than usual too

Its supposed to be a time saver but just slows me down lol

Its hard to explain if you haven't used one before. In the US they have have a standard model with normal starter. Wish they brought that out here

Yeah... I use half choke most of the time when warm to make it easier.

If they had both starter types it would be perfect

Good feedback there for all to read, plus its approx 1kg heavier than BR700 + another $100 dearer.
I do notice the weight increase from the BR600 to BR700 when chucking it on the backseat of the Dualcab.

NLALM, good feedback re the starting above.
    Cheers Garry

Lol that was painful to watch. Couple pulls? Haha he can't count
And not sure I've ever hurt myself lol
But yeah demonstrates how annoying it is perfectly
